Note 2: Guide is fully up to date except for cluster jewels. More than likely at least 1 series (maybe 2) of cluster jewels should be worked into the build for maximum output. To do this other nodes will have to be dropped. Currently i do not have time to redo every build of mine and find out which notables on cluster jewels are best and change all the trees/gear around to fit them in. Build works fine without cluster jewels but anyone wanting to push the build should definitely incorporate cluster jewels into it!



3.15 TBA

3.14 Vaal reave buffed a good bit. No other real changes.

3.13 Minor ascendancy buffs and some minor reave/vaal reave buffs were all that changed really. Build still works the same as always

3.12 No changes

3.11 Cluster jewels added in (make sure to check notes above). Dual wielding % MORE phys dmg completely removed along with nerfing a lot of the crit/crit multi/dmg nodes on tree.

3.10 Few fossil/influence changes. Overall build remains largely unchanged. Chest piece now is probably something like explody mod + double curse + attack crit % + tons of life. Realistically getting all mods probably won't happen without sacrificing your first born child to Lootcifer. That being said, most of build remains unchanged and plays the same.

3.9 Can no longer roll “socketed gems are supported by level 1 maim” on chestpiece

3.8 No real changes of note

3.7 Reave/Bflurry were both buffed decently in damage and QoL. This should make them even nicer to use than they already were. New passives and ascendancies ontop of gem buffs make this build over 3x stronger than it was before and it was already pretty crazy. Now 100% should be rolled as a BERSERKER. Dps numbers are insane. Imaple was added to build as well because it is absolutely nuts, gems/items were also changed around. All in all build got a complete overhaul.

3.6 No Changes of note


When I look for “Top Tier” in a build I have many requirements that must be met. I want a build that can clear ALL content (maps/shaper/lab/atziri + ubers etc). It must be fun and engaging, not cost an extraordinary amount of currency, and have the ability to be a league starter with the ability to do all content later on as you upgrade and invest into your character. On top of this it must have fast movement or move skills and not have to worry about any weird issues that ruin builds for me (such as running out of mana, dying to random one shots, not lacking in single target capability, etc etc.)

All in all finding a build that suits me and has all of these things can really be a tall order to fill. Luckily I have perfected the second build in my series that fits all the criteria… the reave/bflurry physical champion build which fits me just as perfectly! Hope you all enjoy!

Demonic Reave MTX looks sweet
Very fast pace build
Incredible movement speed with whirling blades + blitz charges
Very big aoe clear
One of the best single target dmg gems in the game
Imaple adds a whole new level of damage (does not show in game or in POB)
Great evasion/dodge/dmg reduction
Free 100% accuracy with a couple easy crafts
Free fortify on 100% of time
Can do almost all map mods (avoid any reflect phys OR ele)
Able to do all content (all maps, uber atziri, all labs, shaper and guardians, elder, uber elder)
Amazing defensive capabilities
Easy/Cheap to gear with room for lots of improvements as you get more currency

Ele Reflect OR Phys Reflect maps are NOT possible
Can be pretty expensive to fully min/max yourself for end game gear
Quick Leveling Guide

– Try any melee skill you want, melee was revamped in 3.7 so just use what you feel like doing

– Set up a 4 link Blade flurry for single target with melee phys dmg, conc effect, fortify.

– Use any 1 hand rare weapon with the most flat phys dmg on it. Crit/Attack speed don't matter much at this point though I hate slow weapons personally. Base does not matter at all here either. Claws, Swords, Daggers w/e is fine while EARLY leveling. Once you need leech, you need to have a claw for soul raker passive.

– Use ornament of the east claw as soon as you can and upgrade to bloodseeker claw as soon as you can after that.

– For armor pieces (helm/chest/boots/gloves etc) just try to get a good amount of res and any life you can.

– Use a mana flask until your mana leech is good enough to sustain your skill. Especially for boss fights in which you will run out of mana quickly.

– If it is not the start of a league jewelry with -mana cost to skills is wonderful. Along with your normal leveling uniques such as: Goldrim, wanderlust, tabula etc.

Gear breakdown & Stat Prioritization


Rare Shaper helm is the way to go. Get Inc aoe level 18+ and hypothermia level 18+ then go for high life, a couple resists if you can or res + high intelligence. Helm is a good place to get a good intel roll to help with requirements for your blue gems. Then craft +1 melee gems.

High phys/attack speed. Then multi mod and add crit/quality + hit's can not be evaded.

Rare phys explody/attack crit chest is best way to go here. Get as much life as possible besides. Any extra res is a bonus and craft on % max life/%max mana if you can.

Rare Spiked gloves is the way to go here. Tombfists with intimidate still give slightly more dps, but once you add in life and res's along with 2 much needed gem slots spiked gloves are the way to go.

Good rare pair of boots is the best option here. Whirling blades is used for 99% of your movespeed. So in actuality movespeed on boots matters very little if at all. I like to get a bit just because if I click to pick up item or something I move normally for a second or two. Two Toned base is also a very good idea for even more res. Can also roll these yourself with pristine + prismatic or even a shuddering if you want to try for movespeed.

Another Good rare piece is the best bet here. Easy to get remaining resistances and super high life & %Phys dmg. Having open prefix to craft % dmg on top of it is the icing on the cake. Stygian Vise is the best choice but can be very expensive. HEADHUNTER is great on this build and you are more than welcome to use it if you want to spring for one, or if you get lucky.

Jewelry is kind of specific. For rings you need a high life + high attack dmg mark of the elder. Other ring should be a shaped ring. Steel is best but getting a shaped steel ring is very expensive. Diamond ring works fine or any kind of res ring if you need the resistances. Make this ring your assasins mark on hit (level 12 is much better than level 8 unlike with warlord's mark rings which didn't really matter at all.) Multimod on ring what you want after getting assassin's mark. For amulet get a solid T1 phys dmg as extra XX roll at the very least. 2x rolls would be the best. Then multimod and add life/crit/global phys. Lapis or something with int is good.

Watcher's eye with pride mod. You want to go for +2 impale stacks. Getting % chance to deal double damage would be godly but they are REALLY expensive.

Rare jewels should ALWAYS have life % on them and then w/e dmg mods you can get. Preferably all crit multi stuff as it will add the most damage.

For Abyss Jewel get flat fire damage so you can ignite with crits, high life, and attack speed or something else. Only use abyss jewel for stygian, normal jewels are better for passive tree by a good bit.

Body Armor 4L: Blade Flurry – Awakened Melee Phys Dmg – Awakened Brutality – Fortify
5L: Impale
6L: Conc Effect

3L Setup: Whirling Blades – Faster Attacks – Blood Magic
3L Setup: CWDT (lvl 1) – Immortal Call (lvl 3) – Increased Duration
4L Setup: Pride – Blood & Sand – Flesh & Stone – Enlighten 3 (4 is better if you can afford)
4L Setup: Vaal Ancestral Warchief – Blood Rage – Portal – Dread Banner


Those 3 are your main unique flasks and add a ton of damage. Diamond flask of heat for your utility and freeze immune and then a life flask of staunching to take care of bleed immune + healing. Feel free to swap this out for another utility flask if you want. Running 0 life flasks is getting more and more popular. Forbidden taste also might not be a bad idea but does not let you have immune to bleed. Gives 10% doge to attacks + spells and phasing though which is prty nice for delve.

Crit Chance with Diamond Flask

In general your crit chance should be around 60% based on your gear/tree. Here is a nifty little table that explains it better than I ever could while using diamond flask:

No No Map Mods

– Ele/Phys Reflect is by far the worst. Do NOT run either of these
– Temp Chains as always makes you slow and therefore feels extremely bad. I always reroll when able.

Gloves – Double corrupt gloves would be awesome. +1 frenzy charge is great, vulnerability/tempchains on hit if you got a 2nd curse from somewhere, +% crit for attacks and even % max life would not be bad. That being said if you go spiked gloves you would overide the 20% melee damage so you would need a good corrupt. Enchant can be w/e you want.

Boots – Two-Toned boots are one of my favorites if you can find a good pair, the extra resists really help. For Enchants… increased attack + cast speed or cannot be stunned are both good ones too but only work if you have killed RECENTLY so does not work with single target + bosses. Feel free to go w/e you would like though.
Helm – 40% increased blade flurry damage.


Help Alira for the 5 mana regen/s, 15 to all resists, and 20% crit multi. Respec in the endgame to get the +2 passive points as it outshines alira.
Ascendancy Points

Aspect of Carnage – Crave the Slaughter – Flawless Savagery – Blitz

Minor God – Shakari. Simply makes you take reductions to poison stuff

Major God – Soul of Solaris is the one I run. Reduced Ele dmg, additional phys dmg reduction, less dmg from area dmg hits, cannot be hit by more than one crit every 4 seconds etc etc.

Feel free to change this as needed or use whatever other Major god you would like.

Why do we have hypothermia in setup and how does it proc? To get this gem to work (which will not show in tooltip in game) enemies have to be chilled. As long as you have some kind of cold damge that you deal enemies will always be chilled. Any kind of roll of flat cold damage or cold damage to attacks or any kind of phys added as extra cold will give this to you. Mainly from the mod on amulet that we roll very easily and very cheaply to give us phys dmg as extra cold.

I don't like this or that with your build. Do I have to do it? 100% Absolutely Not. This is a build that I tweaked specifically to fit me. Do to you what feels right and looks good for YOU. YOU are the one that has to play it and enjoy it. Trust me when I say if you change your damage by a few hundred or even a few thousand or swap your defenses around it will not make or break the build for the most part. However keep in mind that I will always advise people to do what I have laid out in the build.

Why do I keep running out of mana? At low levels you WILL run out of mana. Either use elreon jewelry if it is not start of league, or just run a mana flask. Once you get the mana leech node now called “Soul Raker” in the claw wheel and a decent amount of damage you shouldn't really run out anymore.

Where do we get leech from? Their is now two places on the tree that we get leech from. The biggest source is the Soul Raker passive in the claw wheel up by shadow. It grants 1.2% ATTACK damage leeched as life and .8% ATTACK damage leeched as mana. The second passive is blood drinker which grants an additional .4% ATTACK damage leeched as life. Both are more than sufficient to keep your life/mana at full once you start dealing enough damage to sustain it. It is based on a % of the damage you deal afterall.

Is this build SSF/HC Viable? SSF I would say definitely not. It would be very hard to get a lot of the stuff I feel is required. HC I would say only if you are a masochist.
